exactly, i actualy guaged mine its a 12lb trigger......no way to accedentaly pull that, so i have completely removed the safety guns not going off unless i delibrately tell it to.

Same with my Glock. I use my Finger as the Safety. (Which also defeats the Trigger Safety.) We have enough to think about before pulling a Trigger. Why complicate matters with Buttons or switches? (A reason I don't use a Laser either)

i love the condition system, i dont carry a 1911.......i carry a pt-92 but if i were to use the system. my weapon is always condition "0" .......i have a internal firing pin safety, so unless i pull a 5lb trigger almost 2" back........it dont go bang lol but if i need to i dont have to worry about safties , i just pull the trigger :-p SA/DA is awesome :-D

On a 1911, is there a Hammer Safety that prevents discharge if the Trigger is not pulled? IE: Walther, Glock, Revolvers etc.
The reason I ask is I don't like a Gun that makes any noise before you get to pull the Trigger, Like Racking or cocking first. They are recognizable noises that could get you killed, and takes more time.

I have to agree with you Smith, I don't care for that #9 rule. It certainly doesn't apply with most people that have chosen to carry a 1911 cocked and locked. I'm a firm believer that if you carry a 1911, it should be carried in condition

good list tig :-D i've always belived in 3 simple rules that will 100% destroy any chanace of an accidental discharge or death
#1........if you dont want it dead, dont aim it at it.
#2........keep the triggey fingey off da boom
