alright, thanks tig, i took a dremmel to it and smoothed and polished it all back out, as well as every other contact surfaces, and now the weapon actualy racks easier :-D

Hey Smith, I apologize for the delay in answering your question. It seems to me from your description that the area of your frame isn't a load bearing surface (if you will). By that I mean that it isn't part of the frame rail, correct?

i have a older Taurus pt-92 af pre decocker model with a aluminum frame, i broke it down to clean it today and noticed on the top of the frame where the spring for the guide rod is, the edges of the frame are almost peeling *not the finish the aluminum
